Group Chief Executive
Michael joined Regenda as Group Chief Executive and member of the Board in March 2014. Prior to joining Regenda, he spent eight years as Chief Executive of The Calico Group and earlier in his career held senior roles at The Aspire Group and Liverpool Housing Action Trust.
Michael has held numerous Non-Executive Director roles and is currently the Chair of Plexus UK Limited (the Housing Association subsidiary of Mears Group PLC) and Chair of the Fabric District CIC that is focussed upon the regeneration of the London Road area of Liverpool City Centre. He is also a member of the Liverpool City Region Strategic Investment Panel.
Michael has a Doctorate from the University of Bristol and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Michael works with the Regenda Board to develop the Group’s Strategy. He is responsible for the attainment of the agreed strategic objectives, growth of the Group, day to day Group performance, leadership of staff and the development of external partnerships.
Managing Director of M&Y Maintenance and Construction Limited
Gill Kelly joined the group in December 2009 when her family business M&Y was acquired by the Regenda Group. Gill was Finance Director at M&Y for 15 years before she joined Regenda and over that period she developed M&Y into a £2.5m turnover responsive repairs contractor delivering repairs and maintenance for several housing associations.
Gill merged the existing internal contractor and the private business into one competitive commercial service provider. M&Y has since grown into a £20m turnover business and has successfully diversified into delivering planned maintenance contracts and construction services, alongside responsive repairs, voids maintenance, gardening and specialist services. M&Y has significant growth ambitions for the next five years, to deliver repairs and construction services for external customers.
Gill’s strengths are delivering growth and diversification, and ensuring services are customer focused, with a dynamic commercial attitude.
Gill has experience of preparing winning bids to secure third party contracts, transferring staff under TUPE and transforming teams into high performing business units. She has experience of delivering services strategically, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and compliance with health and safety legislation and good practice. Gill introduced Investors in People and international quality standards to M&Y and supports the benefits of standardised, quality business practices and first class people management.
Gill is an ambassador for women in construction, local chambers of commerce and disability coalition, and maintains relationships with local schools and community partners to promote construction. Profits from M&Y are invested in social purpose projects, and help to provide work placements, apprenticeships and employment skills for local people.
Executive Director of Customer Services
Stephanie started her career as a Housing Management Trainee with Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council. Before working in senior housing roles at Blackpool Borough Council, Liverpool Housing Trust and Cobalt Housing.
In her role at the Regenda Group as Executive Director – Operations and Customer Service, Stephanie is responsible for the delivery of specialist services and supported housing for over 12,000 residents. She is also provides leadership for the Group’s education and support businesses including; The Learning Foundry training provider, Petrus homeless charity and Centre 56 nursery.
She is currently acting as interim Chair for Knowsley Youth Service (Vibe) and serves on the Liverpool City Region Employment and Skills Board and the Liverpool BID Culture and Commerce Board.
Executive Director of Resources
As Executive Director of Resources, Tony is responsible for Finance, Business Assurance, People Services, ICT, Marketing and Communications, and Business Transformation. He has over 20 years experience in the housing sector, providing leadership and direction across multi-disciplinary teams in large and medium sized North West based groups, including traditional and stock transfer organisations.
Tony has significant experience of financing, group restructuring, acquisitions, organisational transformation and regulation. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Charterd Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Managing Director of Positive Footprints and NCRC
Lesley Burrows is the founder and Managing Director of Positive Footprints, an organisation which works with schools and young people to raise aspirations. She is also the Managing Director of the National Communities Resource Centre (NCRC), at Trafford Hall.
Lesley has held various positions on Boards across the North West for the housing sector, serving 9 years as Chair of the Calico Group.
She has also held Chair roles in education and in skills and employment.
With extensive leadership experience in welfare to work, talent management and education, Lesley plays a key role in influencing government policy on the skills and employment agenda, including the Government Careers Strategy, which now includes a focus on Primary schools.
Executive Director of Property
Alex has previously held the role of Regenda’s Group Director of Assets and has extensive experience of the property sector, delivering and providing the Groups Asset Management strategy, including the development of the Group's five-year growth and investment plan.
Alex has an MSC in commercial building surveying from Liverpool John Moores and is a chartered member of the CIOB
As Managing Director of Redwing, Alex's role is to capitalise on the company's existing position as a significant landlord within one of the country’s most exciting cities, by improving brand recognition and growing market share.
As Executive Director of Property, Alex leads our forward-thinking and ambitious Asset Management Team, which are responsible for strategy, investment, compliance and routine maintenance of the Group's diverse stock portfolio of 13,000 properties across the North West.
Regenda Limited (Chair), Petrus Community (Chair), Centre 56 (Chair), Redwing and Nominations & Remuneration Committee
Paul currently Chairs the board of trustees for Petrus, which provides support and services to people who are homeless or in housing need and Centre 56 which provides domestic abuse support for families and children. Paul has extensive experience within the housing sector, working for one of the largest social housing organisations in the UK, the Guinness Partnership as an executive team member.
Paul has also held the role of Finance Director for a youth education company where he helped to establish its corporate functions including; finance, fundraising, IT and
governance. He has also worked in Finance and Information Technology at
Kelloggs, a small/medium enterprise in the aerospace industry and British Gas.
As a Chartered Management Accountant, Paul is an experienced finance professional and business leader with significant strategic experience across business sectors and has a track record of delivering business performance and implementing business change through successful teams.
