We recently hosted a special graduation event to celebrate the incredible staff who’ve just completed our 10-month internal Regenda Group leadership development programme, LEAD.
The graduates, their mentors, and colleagues from across the Group came together to celebrate and congratulate our future leaders who took on the challenge to Lead, Evolve, Achieve, and Develop (LEAD)!
Now in its ninth year, the LEAD programme is all about developing skills and building future leaders. Open to any team member who’s ready to grow, it offers a blend of workshops, projects, and mentorship designed to build skills that matter—like communication, decision-making, and strategic thinking.
LEAD is a bespoke programme delivered in partnership with The Learning Foundry. Staff who take part get the chance to be mentored by a leader in the business, take part in monthly workshops and development sessions and work towards a level 2 accredited qualification as part of the programme.
One of the best parts of the afternoon was hearing from the graduates about how the programme has given them more confidence, helped them find their voice, and even changed how they approach their everyday work.
Sean Rothwell, Director of People Services, said: “This is our ninth year of running the LEAD programme and the graduation event is always a day we look forward to as it provides a group of our talented ambitious colleagues with an opportunity to showcase the results of their hard work as well as the chance to celebrate their success.
“By investing in programmes like LEAD, we’re providing opportunities for our staff and building a future where everyone has a chance to grow. Creating opportunities is part of our core purpose, and I’m excited to see how this year’s graduates continue to develop and achieve their goals.”
Sarah White, Customer Service Advisor, was awarded ‘Delegate of the Year’ by her peers on the programme and Phil McNulty, Head of Asset Delivery was voted ‘Mentor of the Year’.
Sarah said: “On the LEAD programme, I’ve been able to grow my confidence to speak in front of audiences. I’ve been given the opportunity to meet people I hadn’t met before across the Group and build relationships that will last a lifetime. LEAD has been one of the best experiences for me, and I will always remember the bond I developed with my project team and the whole group.”
Laura Swainston, Learning and Development Specialist at The Learning Foundry, said: “It has been an honour to work alongside such a diverse and talented group of colleagues throughout the LEAD programme. To see them grow in confidence and develop skills of leadership has been gratifying as a facilitator as well as inspiring. Thanks for letting me be part of the journey.”
