Our Liverpool-based training provider, The Learning Foundry, has once again achieved an Ofsted Good rating.
During their most-recent visit, Ofsted inspectors praised the organisation for their dedication to preparing local people, of all ages, for meaningful employment.
The Learning Foundry is a specialist training provider, and part of The Regenda Group, delivering apprenticeships, study programmes, Skills Bootcamps and free adult learning courses. Each year it provides training and employment opportunities for around 1000 people at the campus at the heart of Liverpool City Centre, and virtually across the UK.
The Learning Foundry directly supports our core purpose – to regenerate places and create opportunities for people – by providing people with education, training and careers support, allowing local people to access the opportunities they need to thrive.
In The Learning Foundry’s second ‘Good’ report since 2019, inspectors commented on “how swiftly learners develop employability skills…to undertake job searches and attend interviews with confidence.”
The business was also praised for the wide range of options available to learners, including dental nursing, early years, property management, live music, and construction, allowing people of all backgrounds opportunity to develop new skills and gain meaningful and sustainable work.
The Learning Foundry’s Head of Quality and Curriculum, Peter Dignam, says:
“At The Learning Foundry, learners have a programme that is tailored to them, to ensure that the team can provide them with everything they need to achieve their goals and fulfill their potential.
“Coming to The Learning Foundry gives people the opportunity to be ambitious for their future. Some of our learners come to us so unsure about what they want to do, and with a negative experience of education. It’s exciting for us at The Learning Foundry to be the first training provider to give them a positive experience of learning.”
Inspectors praised leaders and Governors for creating a “supportive culture where consultation, collaboration and sharing good practice leads to sustained improvement.”
Jayne Worthington, a Board Member for The Learning Foundry, says:
“The Learning Foundry offers local people more than qualifications, they create citizens who can seize opportunities presented to them, going on to positive destinations and taking steps to where they want to go in life.
“At The Learning Foundry, staff really care about their learners, and they work tirelessly to get great results for those who come.”
The Learning Foundry’s Good rating is testament to the positive experience they provide for people who walk through their doors, whatever they are looking to learn and whatever the support they need.
